More Rolo, Less Help
A week later, as the children zipped up their coats, Rolo stood frozen in the corridor, staring down at his coat sleeves. He gave his best wide-eyed look to the teaching assistant. “You do it for me?” he whispered hopefully.
The TA smiled kindly and said, “You can do this Rolo, I believe in you.”
There was a long sigh. A dramatic one. But slowly, painfully slowly, Rolo poked one hand through, then the other. Upside down, of course. He looked at his arms, surprised.
“I did it!”
“Yes,” the TA nodded. “And you’ll do it again tomorrow. And everyday from now on.” She said hoping that her statement wasn’t too delusional.
